The Choo Choo is named after the classic Glenn Miller Orchestra song. Located in the historic Southside neighborhood, the Choo Choo serves as an icon of the neighborhood where we’ve chosen to live and work. We also offer this design as a Chattanooga Choo Choo Christmas Card.
The original Terminal Station building which now houses the Choo Choo was saved from the wrecking ball by local businessmen in 1973. The following year after its grand re-opening, the owners were able to get the building added to the National Register of Historic Places. Now more of an entertainment destination than a hotel, the Choo Choo houses some of our favorite spots like STIR, Frothy Monkey and American Draft. We also take our dogs to Play Wash Pint, a unique dog park and beer bar located at the back of the property next to another great bar, Flying Squirrel.
